Backwater Bastards: An Actual Play Podcast

Why did you start this show?

Because we're best friends! Good ol' Dan (Or Dr. Ze to some of you folx) grew up playing DnD with DM DICK DYNAMITE, and he was like hold on WAIT- I think we can record this?? And so circa 2018, we fired this thing up and we are NEVER STOPPING. We've grown so much as people making this thing, we're creating a game system to fit us better- We love doing this, we love meeting new people through it, and dangit- I don't know where we're going but WE ARE GOING THERE IN A SPACESHIP.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

We hope you feel like you're with us when you listen. Because you are! We think about you when we make this beast, and we love to talk to you at cons and in our big loud Discord. You are our biggest inspo. Our show is about best friends just trying to make it. If you can feel the friendship through yer headphones, then that's the dream achieved. (Also Dan edits the heck outta this thing, so he would probably be jazzed if you liked the sound design too. Haha.)
